Receiving a “designated supplier notification” from an automaker is a key milestone for component suppliers seeking to enter its supply chain and secure long-term, stable orders. Since the second half of 2025, industry sentiment has significantly improved, with more than 20 A-share component companies—including Tiancheng Zikong, Neusoft Group, and Joyson Electronic—announcing major designated orders from leading domestic and international automakers. These orders are substantial in value; for instance, Joyson Electronic’s newly awarded smart-driving project has a total order value of approximately 15 billion yuan over its entire lifecycle, while Neusoft Group’s intelligent cockpit domain controller project involves an amount of roughly 5.6 billion yuan. Such developments not only recognize the R&D capabilities and responsiveness of Chinese supply-chain enterprises but also highlight that the steadily increasing localization rate in core components for new-energy vehicles is continuously enhancing the resilience of the industrial chain against risks.
